We have learned that our headliner from the 2007 festival Randy McAllister on January 7th while returning to Texas from Louisiana, Randy's car was struck by an oncoming 18-wheeler. Randy was taken by CareFlite to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. His condition was critical but stable. On Friday, January 11th Randy was released from the hospital and is working on a fast recovery. He is getting back to completing his new CD, writing and plans to make scheduled live performances. We would like to send out our best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
From all of us here at Emma Creek Farm."
Good luck & get well soon!"

Here we go again. We have set up an ECF BBTT committee to start work on the 2008 festival, it was agreed that we need more advertising to get the word out. To do this we need more sponsors to help with funding for advertising. So far Charles & Ken have been putting these shows on out of their own pockets with just a small amount of sponsorship i.e. ads on the posters. If you would like to become a sponsor contact Charles or Ken through the "Contact Us" page. We will keep you updated on this and other news in the future. Thats all for now, "Keep The Blues Alive"

Well Blues Fans
Another festival has come & gone, with so much planning and preparation it seems to take forever to get here. But then it goes by in a flash of unexpected cheers and rejoices.
The Eoff Brothers had problems with their van and couldn't make the show. This was a big disappointment to Ken as he had seen them in Memphis & was looking forward to hearing them play here at ECF. But the show must go on, and go on it did. With Rachelle Coba opening up, and then setting in with Randy McAllister at the end, that was a great treat for everyone. Then Pat Moss & Harold Aldridge Jr. with guest Barry Harris came on stage playing the old time blues and telling stories of days past that really made you stop & think of what it must have been like growing up in those old juke joints. Then RKO comes out and shows us all why they are winners of the WBS Blues Challenge two years running, and if that wasn't enough Randy McAllister gets on stage to show you what it takes to be a Grammy Nominee. WOW, this man can play a crowd. He can play the drums with the best, blow a harp, and even scratch a scrub board good enough to make everyone get up and dance.
The weather was excellent with a light breeze, the fans were really good about showing their appreciation to the bands, and to the ECF booth.
Sue B Subs out of Park City served up some great subs & things. Then there was C&S BBQ from Newton with their famous jambalaya.
We would have liked to see more attend and we will have to give serious thought at doing another, but we all have had a good time & we would hate to give it up.
We here at ECF would like to thank all the volunteers for their help and support. Steve & Deb Cloyd, Barbra Brown, Tim and Wilma Ratzlaff, Steve & Phyllis Jordan, Deb Leep & Ken, Kate (Beth McCart) Stewart, Sara and Sherry Mayberry.
Did we forget to mention that Ken got on stage down on one knee and proposed to Sherry, and she said, “YES”?
Until next time, keep the Blues alive

Emma Creek Farm hosted a Benefit for Greensburg. With a light turnout, those who came out really had a good time, and generously donated around $850.00 It was quite warm with a nice breeze, the food was excellent, thanks to the S.O.L.S. Remember, 100% of the proceeds went to The Greensburg State Bank Disaster Relief Fund & The Pratt Veterinary Hospital. The bands all played very well, putting on a great show. David Holland Band put a lot of energy into their gig. Acoustic Scratch played some of the best acoustic blues we have ever heard. And, we say this with great pride "RetroActive rocks!" coming all the way out from the Greensburg area and playing to a very small crowd, they put on a fantastic set, a definite must see. We haven’t heard that stuff live for a long time.
We would also like to thank all the volunteers Tim & Wilma Ratzlaff, Barb Brown, Deb Leep, Phyllis Jordan, Sherry Mayberry, all the bands, AAA Port-a-Potty, Nite Life & Sound, Leekers Family Foods, KFDI Radio, KINZ Radio, and The Sons of The American Legion.
From all of us here at ECF, a big "THANK YOU!!!"
